Each issue of Scale Aircraft Modeling has the same basic design and format. That's not a bad thing as it is jam packed with superb aircraft builds and tips. In this issue, there are five feature articles, an Aviation in Profile piece, and seven Compact Build Reviews.

The Feature articles for this issue start with DAI Williams build of Wingnut Wings 1/32 Fokker D.VII. Mr. Williams covers how to make single color areas less drab and add contrast. He also used Albion Alloys thread, Bob's Buckles turnbuckles and AVIATTIC lozenge decals to improve the kit.

Next up is James Ashton's build of the newer Revell 1/32 Spitfire Mk. II. He gives it the full meal deal with Barracuda cast everything and spends a lot of time getting the finish just right on this heavily weathered plane using multiple techniques..

Next up, Sjon van der Heiden builds Czech Models 1/48 XF-85 Goblin and makes it into a nice little diorama of an emergency landing on a dry lake bed with tractors and airmen present. This is an excellent tutorial on doing a metal aircraft with only a brush- no airbrush was used and the result is excellent

Nino Gakovic's feature article is Airfix 1/72 Blenheim mk. I and in Croatian markings (available from Xtradecals). Montex Masks are also used for the canopy and there is a great work around to get the front glass to fit well.

Lastly for features, Chris Fleet builds Wingnut Wings 1/32 Fokker E.I Early. Mr. Fleet added Master Model Spandau guns, HGW seat belts, an AVIATTIC cowling and Gaspatch turnbuckles. The result along with his superb weathering make this article a must have for anyone building this plane.

The Aviation in Profile article covers the Fokker D.VII and has a very special author. Ray Rimmel of Albatros Pubs is the author and a true expert on the subject.
