Welcome to the IPMS/USA Reviews site!

Introduction: The primary organization of the IPMS/USA Review website is by IPMS/USA National Contest Class. Within each Class there are sub-menus by kits, decals, books, etc. The Miscellaneous Class is for items that are not class specific or that cross two or more classes.

IPMS/USA Members: We encourage you to submit reviews, both here and to the Journal. To volunteer for membership in the IPMS/USA "Reviewers Corps" and submit your own reviews, please read the Guidelines For Submitting Product Reviews.

Manufacturers, publishers, and other industry members: IPMS/USA is pleased to offer your company the opportunity for product reviews. All product reviews are performed by IPMS/USA members, and are posted in the publicly-accessible section of our website. Illiad Design has recently released an aftermarket decal set covering Cessna L-19/O-1. The Bird Dog saw service with over 20 air forces so the choice of markings is very varied and this sheet does not disappoint.

This decal sheet covers a total of 6 aircrafts and you are provided with enough markings as to be able to model 5 of them (or all of them if you have some extra American markings). You have your choice of

Brengun continues to expand its line of photoetch aftermarket detail parts regarding all type of antennas used by Luftwaffe aircrafts during World War 2.

Typical of Brengun you get an unpainted fret of easy to bend brass. This review covers:

BRL 48099 covers the FuG200 antenna in use by Ju-88, Bv-138, He-177, Bv-222, Fw-200, Ju-290 and other long range reconnaissance types.

BRL 48100 cover the FuG 227, FuG10, FuBi2, FuG 101 used by too many different airplanes to list. Just to name a few: Ju-88, Me-100, Fw-190, etc.

While I have not used these sets, experience with other sets of the same manufacturer indicates that the small connection points of the parts to the fret will make removal and cleaning of the part very easy.

Given the small size of some of the parts, I will recommend this kit to modelers of all levels except the most novice. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank Brengun Models and IPMS/USA for the review sample.

Packaged in a thin, heat sealed pouch with five turned parts, two gun barrels, two different sized plugs (ballast) and one pitot tube. Compared to parts in the new F-5E from Kitty Hawk kit, the Master parts are very fine, detail is the finest I have ever seen, and directions are very clear and easy to follow. The gun barrels are very precise and retain concentricity where the kit parts seem thick and may appear warped. You get a choice of installing the two gun barrels or using a solid “rod” (two sizes) that replaces one gun barrel. I believe this is a ballast for when a gun is not installed. I am unable to find information as if this has any other function than as a ballast. The pitot tube is a direct replacement for the Kitty Hawk and Hasegawa F-5 kits with a shark nose
