2018 seemed to be the year of the Panther from the start and there certainly was no shortage of releases of the variants from many of the big companies. As 2019 rolled around, Jagdpanthers and Bergepanthers seemed to continue the trend. However, about mid-year, there were whispers of the companies releasing their own version on the venerable US Sherman tank. Taska, now Asuka, certainly has set the bar high and we have seen as the summer rolled along that Rye Field Models and Meng have entered their own horses into the race. My focus here is on the M4A3(76)W release by Meng, complete with an extra added resin sandbag armor set SPS-070 ($57.00).

Part 2 - Henschel Hs-129B-2/RIII Wings, Cowlings and Things!

In Part 2 of my build of Zoukei-Mura’s latest Release, the 1/32nd scale Henschel Hs-129 B-2/RIII, we’ll get the wings and horizontal stabs on and get the kit ready for paint As a bit of background, the Hs-129 was a WWII version of the modern A-10 and was designed to and good at killing tanks. In Part 1, we built the engines cockpit and got the fuselage assembled. Let’s finish the rest of the assembly.

To start, the wing spars were cut from the sprues. If you want the interior parts to show, you will need a little sanding to get rid of the seam lines. These slot brilliantly into the previously shown slot and provide a nice fit. This should also provide the needed dihedral for the wings. The four fuel tanks are built and added along with MG151 magazines and lastly, the wing guns themselves were added. The Mg 17mm magazines are also added at this time. This does a great job of showing how this plane was a flying weapon- lots of guns, cannons and ammunition.

By 1765 Britain had achieved hegemony in Europe, North America, India, Africa and the West Indies over archrival France with its decisive victory in the Seven Years War (1756-1763) fought on 5 continents and the sea (Quiberon Bay). However, the overthrow of the Bourbon monarchy in 1791, and the emergence of revolutionary France was an entirely new phenomenon, and by 1793 virtually all of the major European nations, all headed by monarchs, had declared war on the new French Republic. As a result, France in 1794 was threatened by famine and risked all by organizing a massive North America to France food convoy against the Royal Navy and harsh North Atlantic seas.

Brengun continues to expand its line of photoetch aftermarket detail parts regarding all type of antennas used by Luftwaffe aircrafts during World War 2.

Typical of Brengun you get an unpainted fret of easy to bend brass. This review covers:

BRL 48099 covers the FuG200 antenna in use by Ju-88, Bv-138, He-177, Bv-222, Fw-200, Ju-290 and other long range reconnaissance types.

BRL 48100 cover the FuG 227, FuG10, FuBi2, FuG 101 used by too many different airplanes to list. Just to name a few: Ju-88, Me-100, Fw-190, etc.

While I have not used these sets, experience with other sets of the same manufacturer indicates that the small connection points of the parts to the fret will make removal and cleaning of the part very easy.

Given the small size of some of the parts, I will recommend this kit to modelers of all levels except the most novice. Highly recommended.
