It’s really unique to open these up and see the dark blue and white background to the decal sheet. It sets the individual decals off and honestly, I think it makes the numbers easier to read. When you look at the individual decals, what caught my eye right off the bat was how well the placards look. The lettering and lines have a bright silver metallic look to them that I don’t see in other decals. Printing on the smaller warning decals is crisp and readable at what looks like size 2 font. The registration on all the colors on my sheet looks perfect, no issues. The decals overall are very, very thin. You can hardly feel them on the sheet. When applying them be careful not to let them curl over on themselves. Apply right off the sheet to the aircraft, if possible. Another thing that stands out is how bold the red and the blue are. They really have good solid colors on the decal. The back page of the instructions has actual photographic references for locating the gear markings. This is a unique element for a decal manufacturer and is going to make it a positive experience applying this portion of the decals. One thing that isn’t clear is the purpose of the second sheet of decals for the bureau number, tail codes, and the pilot names. It just looks like a second set of decals and I have not found a reference as to why they are included. It is convenient for this review, though, because I can use a set of decals to show how they’re applied without having to complete a part of the actual aircraft sooner than I want to. If there is an issue with opacity, then the 2nd set should solve it. I think the big test on these is going to be whether the white will have enough opacity to keep the gloss black of the aircraft from showing through and changing the tone. To prove that out I had a dark gunship gray basecoat handy and applied one of the white stripes to check coverage. Check out the picture for yourself, looks like good coverage. The decals settled into the fine panel lines on a 1/48 scale F-15 using just MicroSol. They also stood up to Solvaset without any issue as you can see from the picture.

Many thanks to IPMS and Syh@rt for this review sample!
