The 1965 Plymouth Satellite kit does not show up on the Moebius website. I’m not able to tell you why it doesn’t. (ed. note - it is listed under the Club Moebius section of their site listed above)

Engine

The Commando 426 engine with TorqueFlite automatic transmission is extremely well done with excellent engraving and separate pieces for the oil filter and Carter carb.

Interior

Moebius did an interior platform with separate side panels and seats that feature wonderful engraving. The well engraved dashboard has decals for gauges and the radio face. The separate console fits very well.

Body

The body is molded with scripts and louvers molded in. You also get decals for the scripts and louvers. I didn’t use the decals and used BMF to cover those items before priming. Taillights are chrome and need to be painted transparent red. Door handles, antenna, mirror, rear panel, and windshield wipers are all separate pieces. I used HOK So-Blue paint to finish the kit. It comes very close to the factory color.

Chassis

The chassis consists of a rear one piece unibody with the front K member needing to be glued on during assembly. Dual exhaust as well as the front & rear suspension are separate pieces. All the pieces were excellently engraved and there was little to no flash.

Moebius should be commended for producing another fine model kit. The rumor has it that this kit will be modified and made available as a drag car. And maybe then there’ll be a NASCAR version.

Thank you to IPMS for allowing me to review this kit.
