UH-1D Huey Wipers
The Kitty Hawk UH-1D is a very good kit. Okay I’m biased, I helped design it. My logo is on the boxtop. There are some things that can be improved due to the limitations of injection molded plastic. That is where Quickboost comes into play. Inexpensive upgrades that make a visual difference.
This release is for the canopy wipers. They are right out front and very noticeable. The kit ones are okay but not very detailed. Quickboost offers replacements that look exactly like the real thing. I’ve recently had to change out two of these on our Huey and I can tell you these are perfect replacements.
The two pieces of resin are carefully packed with barriers to prevent damage. They are packaged in a standard Quickboost resealable package with card stock information. The resin is blemish-free and easily removed from the pour block. Adding them to the kit is simple enough. Just replace parts C74 and C75 with these parts. They are labelled left and right. Paint them before you add them and you’re all set.
I love these little upgrades. They are simple to add and offer far superior results that can’t be done in plastic. Seeing they are on the front of the helicopter they are quite noticeable. Another great offering from Quickboost.
