Caracal Models has scaled down their 1/48 T-45 series into 1/72, which can fit the Testor’s/Italeri version of the kit. The decal set comes with five options, which are:

• T-45C Goshawk BuNo. 165088, VT-9 "Tigers", NAS Meridian

• T-45C Goshawk BuNo. 165609, 150th Goshawk, NAS Meridian

The set comes with a multipage full color booklet with left and right profile views of all five aircraft in their orange and white training schemes. Noted where needed are other color callouts, with one plane actually being insignia red. There are great notations on specific aircraft showing decal placement, landing gear door detail, and other great items for modelers. At the end of the instructions (and before the color call outs), is nice section detailing the Testors/Italeri kit, its shortcomings, and noting an article for correcting the kit. This is a great touch for those wanting to correct the kit and easily ignored by modelers like me who don’t worry about accuracy.

The decal sheet is beautiful with great color and registration and includes all the stenciling for not one but TWO of the options. You can decal two kits with these markings, which were printed by Microscale. I was lucky enough to review and build the Caracal Models 1/48 scale sets and they were superb.
