Sincere appreciation to Eduard for providing yet another review item, and to the IPMS USA reviewer corps leaders for sending it to me!

This set continues Eduard’s effort to provide modelers with previously unavailable, well detailed resin sets. 69 parts make up this set; you can assemble three MER from it, with options for either early “unbraced” rack attachment, or later externally-upgraded braces for the rack.

It’s simple to use; I removed the aft pour stub, drilled a hole in the back to use a wire to hold the rack for painting, (the actual rack has a recess, which doesn’t need filling when finished) Rattle-can for primer and final finish, and it was ready to detail up and install.

The bomb mounts themselves require one to drill out the mounts for the sway braces in the mount. These are already pre-recessed, so it’s simple to do, but “Beeee careful”, because you can easily drill off to the side and ruin the whole thing, or break it off if you use too big a drill.

Decal according to the instructions, and you are ready to move on, not many, but they add a nice detail touch.

The sway braces took care to remove. They have a thin membrane holding them in place, and fortunately the resin is pretty strong. After cleanup, remove and glue in place in the previously drilled holes on the racks. .

Cool details: the whole thing! The fact you can do early or late MER’s is a definite plus, missed by just about everyone else. Eduard’s set is not an afterthought, but a meticulously crafted detail item.

All in all, a great effort. Eduard’s Brassin range is ever-expanding, and with this being yet another complete model accessory in a blister pack, with resin parts, I give them 10 of 10 for subject and performance, well done Eduard!
