Green Stuff World is a recent addition to IPMS’ review line, and it is welcome indeed. They make amazing modeling tools and products to aid you with your models and dioramas. In the case of this line, there is a vinyl sheet full of these tufts. I am reviewing the three here:

• Burnt
• Dry
• Beige

There are also Light, Winter, and Dark varieties.

What’s Inside the Box

The tufts come in a bubble pack with one sheet of 22 tufts and an instructional card. One side of the card provides instructions for use, while the other lists the other available sizes for the tufts- 2mm, 6mm, 12mm, and 22mm. However, these 22mm versions are perfect for multipole scales- 15mm, 25mm, 30mm, and 54mm for example. Instructions for use are pretty simple– just take off a tuft with either your fingers or tweezers and place the self-adhesive tufts wherever you wish. I am a bit OCD– so I usually add a dab of PVA glue down first and add the tuft to it. You could also easily use some scissors to trim the grass down to your liking if you did not wish to pick up the other sizes.

There is really not much else to it– easy to use and convincing to add to any scene where you wish to add tufts of grass. No clean up- and 22 tufts can go quite a way if your diorama isn’t too large. Price is quite good for what you get as well! I have used them in two different vignettes- a post-apocalyptic wasteland and a swamp area to what I think are good effects.
