The Academy family of F-4 Phantoms are impressive kits. I absolutely love them. They are very detailed, but as always there is room for improvement. Enter Quickboost.

Packaged in typical Quickboost bottom opening package with a cardboard stiffener. Two pour stubs of light grey resin hold eight resin pieces that are blemish free. They contain beautiful detail on both sides. They are easy enough to remove from the pour blocks and are direct replacements for the kit parts.

Immediately you will notice that the parts are different than the kit offerings on the inside of the gear doors. They are more accurate for the F-4B than the kit offering. In no particular order, the main gear doors have different details on the inner door face. This would be noticed when you view the model. The other main landing gear doors are different as well. Their interior faces are significantly different and more accurate for a B model F-4. The nose gear doors are different as well. There is significantly more detail on both doors, especially the long door. All the detail on the resin pieces, besides being more accurate, has better finesse of the detail presented. They look perfect and just need a little cleanup and paint to be ready for the model.

The parts from Quickboost are a nice upgrade for your Phantom. If you are a stickler for the F-4 Phantom then this simple upgrade set is exactly what you want. Another great set from Quickboost.
