Twobobs Aviation Graphics are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and keep producing outstanding decal sheets for modern military jet aircraft. A-10C Heritage Hawgs (48-275) celebrates three A-10s promoting heritage and morale. Twobobs chose A-10s from the active, reserve and National Guard squadrons:

  • 405th Fighter Squadron celebrating the 75th anniversary of their squadron, replete in a P-47 Thunderbolt scheme from Western France in 1944
  • A-10 Demonstration Team (Davis Monthan AFB) in a SEA (Southeast Asia) F-105 scheme dedicated to Vietnam POW/MIA, flown during the 2021-2022 airshow season
  • 303rd Fighter Squadron (USAFR) painted in D-Day invasion stripes in honor of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion.

There is one decal sheet that have enough decals for all three jets. The four-page, color instruction sheets (11”x17”, also known as A3 or Ledger size) provide top, bottom, left and right profiles. Additionally, dimensions are provided for the invasion stripes for both of the A-10s. The cartograph decals are colorful, in register and perform remarkably well over a coat of gloss.

For this review, I built the 1/48 Revell A-10 Warthog in the A-10 Demonstration Team SEA livery. I saw this Hawg at the Holloman AFB Airshow in this year and the tri-color USAF Vietnam paint scheme really catches the eye. It is an amazing tribute and now brings great memories of that May day watching the A-10 go through its paces in the clear New Mexico sky.

Twobobs did an amazing job and now I realize I need at least two more A-10s to use the rest of these decals. At $15, this is a bargain for decals for three complete models.

According to the Twobobs website, “Two Accurate? Two Colorful? Twobobs!”. Can’t say it better and I am thoroughly happy of my WWII homage Hawg. If you are a fan or builder of modern jets, look at the Twobobs website and be inspired.

Profuse thanks to Twobobs Aviation Graphics and IPMS-USA for providing the review sample.
