The MiG-21 is one the most iconic and recognizable airplanes ever produced. An astonishing 11,000 aircraft were built in the USSR alone in its 15 year service life in the Soviet Air Force and a number of countries were given licenses to produce it as well. Given the codename “Fishbed” by NATO, the MiG-21 has been in service for more air arms around the world than any other fighter aircraft. With this in mind Eduard has rereleased their fantastic kit of the MiG-21 MF with a staggering number of markings as a new special edition kit.
Welcome to the IPMS/USA Reviews site!
Introduction: The primary organization of the IPMS/USA Review website is by IPMS/USA National Contest Class. Within each Class there are sub-menus by kits, decals, books, etc. The Miscellaneous Class is for items that are not class specific or that cross two or more classes.
IPMS/USA Members: We encourage you to submit reviews, both here and to the Journal. To volunteer for membership in the IPMS/USA "Reviewers Corps" and submit your own reviews, please read the Guidelines For Submitting Product Reviews.
Manufacturers, publishers, and other industry members: IPMS/USA is pleased to offer your company the opportunity for product reviews. All product reviews are performed by IPMS/USA members, and are posted in the publicly-accessible section of our website. With very few exceptions, we perform full build reviews of new kit releases, aftermarket products, and supplies. If you would care to provide product samples for review, please contact John Noack, IPMS/USA 1st VP.

With the recent release of the updated Meng 1/35 D9R Armored Bulldozer to include slat armor, Eduard has released a number of photo-etch detail sets to update the kit and add new details. This is a Meng kit so the detail is fantastic, but there can always be some room for improvement. This set includes replacements for all of the cooling slats and a few other parts.
The Fw-200 was an all-metal four-engine airplane that was originally designed as an airliner. As war broke out, it was modified for use for long-range maritime patrol, reconnaissance and as an anti-shipping patrol bomber in addition to a transport. This airplane has been modeled twice in 1/72 scale by Revell but recently Trumpeter have added the airplane to their line-up. The Trumpeter kit is a great improvement on the Revell kits in both detail and accuracy but as always, Aires/Quickboost have found some areas to improve the kit.

In addition to producing photoetch accessories for aircraft, AFV, cars and trains, Hauler also produces resin and photoetch accessories for dioramas. This set is a prime example of this side of their business. It provides 2 each of 4 different types or styles of plastic crates. There are two types of large crates, such as would be used for milk jugs and the like, and two types of flatter crates such as those used for packages of bread.
