MiG-19S (Farmer C) Gun Barrels Set & Pitot Tube and Shenyang J-6/F-6
The MiG-19 and Chinese version of it, the J-6/F-6, are essentially the same aircraft. The Chinese version had an additional wing hard point on each wing. One thing about early MiGs is that they had long pitot tubes. In plastic they are fragile and easily bendable. The clean up of the plastic part is difficult to ensure that you keep a round cross section. Then if you are like me I ALWAYS break them off, either on the way to a show or just in handling the model.

Master out of Poland are some of the best engineered replacement pitot tubes in the world. In this case they are machined out of aluminium. The best part about machined barrels is that they are strong but the other thing is that there are no mould lines to clean up. This set contains three turned metal components, the pitot tube and two gun bodies. They are precise and quite simply perfect. Just drill a hole as the instructions show and you are good to go.
The J-6 armament is slightly different than the MiG-19 so you will need to get the proper set for your model.
These sets include three resin gun blast shields. They look the same but the fuselage gun is slightly different so be careful. These are moulded in a black resin with perfectly cast flash suppressors. You could never be able to produce this set in plastic and make it look correct. The instructions are quite simple on how to attach the resin suppressors to the turned metal gun barrels. The resulting guns will be an awesome addition to your model and look exactly like the real thing.
These barrels and pitot tubes are simple and effective upgrades. They will add a lot to your model. They are far superior to the plastic parts in the kit. The added strength, ease of assembly and perfect replication are plenty of reasons to use these Master turned metal and resin pieces.
