SAC has filled the niche of replacement landing cast in white metal. In most cases these are copies of the original parts cast in white metal. Some are upgrades that fix noted errors. These products are convenient for many multiple reasons:

• Replace inherently weak landing gear
• Add strength to a model that has a lot of resin aftermarket
• Replace lost or damaged landing gear

This offering is intended to replace the landing gear on the Wingnut Wings DH.9A Ninak and contains white metal copies of kit pieces. The DH.9A is a large plan especially in 1/32 and Wingnuts Wings planes are dense with components and therefore often heavier than other kits of the same scale and size. I have not had a problem with my built Wingnuts Wings kit but that kit is a lighter aircraft. Where I have had issues is in snapping struts when tensioning rigging. Since the landing gear has rigging to provide struts on the real aircraft, these SAC components may reduce any concerns. I am happy to have a metal tail skid.

My only quibble about the SAC products is that they are harder to clean-up than plastic landing gear. And the metal can sometime be soft. Unlike other white metal products, there appears to be no lead and the metal does not deteriorate with age like older white-metal aftermarket accessories.

This SAC set is nicely cast with minimal cleanup required. Recommended.
