DO 217N-1 Seatbelts for ICMPublished:
KitThe 1/48 Eduard photo etch seatbelt kit contains one full-color photo etch tree containing five numbered parts with a total of 16 parts. The single-page instruction guide is easy to follow. Each of the three seats is clearly depicted with line drawings. Assembly of the seatbelts is nearly foolproof. The right side for each seat is labeled A while the left side is labeled B. This consistency makes assembly of the seatbelts go quickly. Reviewer’s CommentsFilling a void for the ICM DO 217N-1 kit for which no seatbelts or seatbelt decals are provided, Eduard has stepped up to provide an excellent photo etch set. Whether you are a builder who likes to add just that little bit extra or a detail hawk, this full-color photo etch is a real asset to this ICM kit… more |

B26B-50 Invader Korean WarPublished:
KitThe Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine light bomber / ground attack aircraft. From 1948 -1966 it was re-designated as the B-26 and served in the Korean War from 1950-1953. Contained in the box is one sealed bag containing ten highly detailed gray styrene sprues and a separately bagged clear sprue. The kit contains a total of 245 parts which were all flash free and showed no injection marks or sink holes. Panel lines are finely recessed. A note of caution: in the review sample several small parts had become detached from the sprues… more |

B26B/C (Korean War) Decal SetPublished:
ICM has produced a fine decal set specifically to be used with ICM kit no. 48281, B-26-50 Invader. The decal set includes markings for four aircraft, the most notable of which is B-26B-61-DL “The 7th Chadwick” piloted by Lt. Col. R. Fourtney, CO of the 13th BC 3rd BG in Korea of Spring, 1953. Other markings are included for B-26C-30-DT “Marth Ann” of the 3rd BG, B-26B-55-DL of the 95th BS, 17th BW and B-26C-45-DT of the 3rd BG. Reviewer’s CommentsEach of the four options are intended for black-painted aircraft. A double-sided, full-color instruction guide is provided. Only side views of the aircraft are given. Placement markings are fairly understandable; however, cross-referencing is recommended. The diagram for “The 7th Chadwick” could be improved. This… more |
