F-4J/S Canopy Mask

Published:
Company: New Ware

Company Background

New Ware is a company in the Czech Republic that is well known to spacecraft modelers. They were new to me. I looked into their website and the text is a mix of English and Czech, and it is noted that Russian, German and Italian are also spoken. They offer kabuki-type masks for many of the popular scales from 1/24 down to the diminutive 1/144, plus eggplanes.

Their on-line catalog is broken down by scale, with a further breakdown for model kit manufacturer. Each mask description for the kit noted with details for the contents such as all clear parts, interior (when offered), other clear parts and wheels.

Contents Description

There are two sets of canopy masks included: exterior and interior. This set is noted as "expert" on the… more

Albatros D.V

Company: Eduard

Brief History

The Albatros D.V was a fighter aircraft used by the Imperial German Air Service during World War I. Despite its well-known shortcomings and general obsolescence, approximately 900 D.V and 1,612 D.Va aircraft were built before production halted in early 1918. The D.Va continued in operational service until the end of the war

In April 1917, Albatros received an order from the Inspektion der Fliegertruppen for an improved version of the D.III. The resulting D.V prototype flew later that month. The D.V closely resembled the D.III and used the same 170 hp engine. The most notable difference was a new, fully elliptical cross-section fuselage… more
