Russian aircraft are really starting to take-off. Pun intended. With the release of new kits out of the Ukraine we are seeing an influx of well-engineered kits from Zvezda and AMK. One thing that always struck me as ‘cool’ about VVS aircraft was the slogans painted on the sides of them. American aircraft had pinup nose art, but the patriotic slogans of the Russian aircraft have always resonated with me. The problem is what do you do when you find one that you like. Usually, you have to go to the bland ones instead or whatever is in the box. Not anymore. Thanks to Foxbot you now have options.

The decals come protected in a resealable Ziploc type baggie. The instructions are printed in full color on one side of 8.5x11 quality stock paper. The aircraft are presented in one side view, the side with the slogan on it of course. The backside has the top and bottom views that show the camouflage. There is a section that shows you the stencil locations as well as suggested color callouts. The callouts show the FS number, Humbrol, Tamiya and AKAN.

The decals themselves are perfectly printed and very thin. They are also in perfect register printed on 4.5 x 6.5 inches decal sheet. Some or the decals have shiny silver and gold in them. It is all perfectly captured. A very nice touch.

This particular decal sheet has markings for EIGHT aircraft with slogans on either side. The aircraft covered include the Yak9D, 9M, and 9T. There are three different types of Russian stars and its obvious that they didn’t have a standard size or font for their numbers, but that is what makes Russian aircraft so much fun. The other thing are all the slogans in various colors.

There is bound to be something on this sheet for your Yak-9. Markings for eight patriotic slogan marked aircraft all perfectly printed, what more could you ask for?

Highly recommended
