This is a benchmark tool and a game-changer for 1/35 armor modelers. It is a wonder it hasn’t been made before.

Real tanks leave deep tracks on the ground wherever they go...and so should your model. Designed to imprint track marks into scale model terrain and bases without damaging the model or its tracks. Simply roll the imprint into your groundwork, and remember to wash any excess base material from the roller after use. This Track Roller Handle works with all the Squadron Track Rollers.

This tool replaces the need to position constructed tracks, either on the tank model or off, on the base to make track impressions. It is ingenious in its design in that it is a roller that can be pressed into the groundwork and rolled in the desired direction. The Squadron Tracks Track Roller Handle is instrumental in this process and consists of a sturdy, ergonomic handle, o-ring and end cap. The track rollers (sold separately) are placed on the handle between the o-ring and end cap. It is that easy. There is a Squadron TV video linked on the web page and YouTube.

For the sample, I used black paint to give an impression of the impression (hah). Please see photos of the Tiger 1 and Sherman T-48 rollers on the handles and in use. According to the designer and Squadron, other tracks and wheels will likely be forthcoming. The Squadron Tracks Track Roller Handle, and associated track rollers, will soon become an essential arsenal of every armor modeler’s work bench.
