I have built several Tamiya 1/32nd scale F-15's and thought the kit engine exhausts were quite adequate. Little did I know that they could be vastly improved by using these detail parts provided by Two Mikes. The resin exhaust nozzles are direct replacement pieces for the kit parts which are "Overly Long," as stated in the instruction sheet. They can be used on the F-15A/B/C/D/J and DJ version. You will still use some of the original plastic engine details but the major parts are included in this kit.

The instruction sheet is easy to read and understand. The details in the photos provide all the information you may require except painting instructions.

You get two assemblies that include nozzles and actuator arms. You will have to cut the nozzles from their casting blocks. I used a razor saw for the rough cuts, followed up with a bench belt sander to finish the sanding. I used an ACC-type adhesive for all assembly. The parts line up together very nicely. You will have to use the kit parts E14 and E5 to finish. Once all this is completed, paint and attach them to your F-15.

I used various shades of Alclad II paints for all the metal areas and Model Master white gloss for the interior. I weather them using washes and Alclad II jet engine exhaust.

I would highly recommend this set. It is a tad on the expensive side but it should enhance an already detailed model kit. Many thanks go out to IPMS USA for giving me to opportunity to review this detail set and to Two Mikes for providing the detail set for us to review.
