Fresh from the Review Corps gathering at the 2025 IPMS-USA Nationals comes this 1/72 scale wiper blade set for the AH-64 Apache from the folks at Quickboost. The wipers are intended for use with the Academy kit and will replace parts A6 and B51. For this review, I used my Hasegawa kit (product E6, AH-64 Apache Longbow) to show that they can also be used to upgrade a kit without wipers included. These parts are highly recommended for improving the detail on your 1/72 scale AH-64 Apache.

Quickboost has been around for several years producing detail parts and replacement parts for various models. While researching the set for this review, it appeared that at the time of my writing, this set was yet to be released. The price provided is my best guess based on similar products from the company, but this may vary slightly when released.

As mentioned, these 3D-printed wipers are intended to replace the plastic parts provided with the Academy kit. As I have a Hasegawa kit in my stash, I used it to show that the wipers will properly fit the canopy of this kit as well. Since I wanted to protect the delicate parts until I was ready to pull the kit from my stash and build it, I held the molding in place to demonstrate that the wipers would fit the Hasegawa canopy correctly. The enclosed paper shows which wiper is 1 and which is 2 and states that wiper 1 replaces kit part A6 and 2 replaces B51 in the Academy kit.

My hits for this release are the level of detail provided in these wipers. With resin 3D printing, the wipers look just like the real ones used on the AH-64. I have no misses for this product to mention.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this wiper set to any modeler building an AH-64 in 1/72 scale. Modelers with experience of working with fine 3D resin parts should have no issue using these parts. I appreciate the folks from Quickboost for providing this new item to the IPMS-USA for review!
