Ejection seat

Quickboost released two seats for Trumpeter's 1/32 A-7 series. This seat is the Escapac 1G-2 Ejections seat used in the A-7D variants. Quickboost previously released a later version of the SJU-8A seat for late A-7E which is reviewed here: http://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/7e-corsair-ii-late-ejection-seat-seat-b…

The seat for the A-7D is four perfectly cast parts. The seat is the major part with two side cylinders and the tab between the headrest being separate. Cleanup takes almost nothing and the parts glue right in place. For a reference to this seat, you can check out the pictures here: http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/don_busack/a-7dk_eject/

The seat was painted dark gull gray and the seat khaki drab. A wash of oil black was washed over all the surfaces. I added a few leftover decals to represent the marking panels on the seat. I painted the ejection seat handles yellow and the seat belts gray. I then flat coated the seat. I painted a few parts flat black and dry brushed the seat cushion khaki and the seat lighter gray. Another flat and the seat was done.

Trumpeter's A-7 kit is nice but this seat will make a big difference. They are much more detailed than the kit seats and have molded in belts which I love. Highly recommended. My thanks to Quickboost/Aires for the review sample and to IPMS/USa for the chance to build it.
