The Game 'Triangle'Published:
ICM has released kit based on a character from the TV series the Squid Games – this is one of guards from the show. In the box is:
ConstructionThe construction of the figure is very easy, and they assemble very well. You do need to do a little filling here and there during the assembly. The body halves did not fill well and needed a lot of work The base is a nice touch and has optional ground finishes to choose from. I added sand to the base top to match the box picture. Painting was easy, although I did not use all… more |

Cessna 152Published:
VFR Models is a UK producer of 3D Printed 1/72 General Aviation Aircraft Kits. This kit is baby brother to the Cessna 172 the Cessna 152 which is a two-seater. The parts are very nicely 3D printed using DLP (Digital Light Processing) Resin Printing. The parts need to be removed from the print support mounts and this is easily done with Spue cutter or sharp blade. The construction starts with the cockpit and is very easy. There is no real guide to painting the interior, so you need to look up for references. Painting the interior should be completed before installation of the cockpit. The Cockpit is then installed into the fuselage, this was not very easy, and the cockpit base needed a lot of cleaning up and material removed to sit correctly. I also added some… more |

This is the 3rd volume of the Key Aero Historic Commercial Airliner series on the Avro 748 British production airliner. The book covers the complete 30-year history of this groundbreaking aircraft which as a project started in January 1959. The aircraft was never glamorous but was a remarkably successful. Key Aero Garuda IndonesiaPublished:
This is the 1st volume of a new Key Aero Airlines Series covering Garuda Indonesia the flag carrier Airline of Indonesia. The book covers the complete history of the airline from the creation as a KLM subsidiary in 1928 to present day global airline. The actual airline began under the name Garuda Indonesia Airways in 1949. The book covers the routs and fleet development over the years and also the different subsidiary airlines form by Garuda. The chapters are fascination and give way more details that I expected in such a apparently small book. During my Airline interior career, I work on the interiors for several aircraft flown by Garuda such as the A300, ATP, B737 and A330 and this book adds to my library relevant to me personally All the photographs and write up in… more |

Mitsubishi A6M Reisen Zeke Vol. IIIPublished:
This is the 81st book in the Kagero Monographs series covering aircraft in details, photos, and diagrams. This book is the third volume to cover the Mitsubishi A6M Reisen Zeke. I found the photographs in this book to be fascinating and very detailed, ideal for any modeler as reference materials. The photographs are extremely good and many I have never seen. The photos provide great details for super detailing any scale model version of the A6M Zeke. Along with the many photos there are outline drawings, schematics, and very nice profile drawings. The cockpit instrument photos are also a great addition. It would have been great to also include a color photo next to these for reference, but this is a minor issue. I recommend this book to everyone with… more |

A-20 Pin-Up Nose Art Pt IIIPublished:
This is the third part of a series of A-20 Pin-Up Nose Art sets of decals in 1/72 Scale. I was going to do a product review only but once I saw how nice these were I broke out an old Matchbox A-20 from my stash to use these in a real build. In the packet is:
The decals look very good when removed from the packet. I did have some issues with a few of the decals breaking up when being placed on the model. I did manage to use all the ones I needed with a little patience and rebuilding the broken ones. I do recommend leaving them in the warm water a little longer than you would normally and also leave then on a dry paper towel for a while before using. This I found reduced the… more |

The resin is well molded with very no flash and are well detailed. The resin parts are to allow you to make the two Tiny Tim Rockets and 2 spare tail fins. ConstructionFirst is the removal of the parts from Resin. You should be careful removing the main tail fins as they are easily damaged and hence two additional parts are provided. The build is very easy and simple. The only thing to be aware of is that tail fins tabs are too big wide for… more |

Single No 36 Hawker Hurricane IICPublished:
This is a very thin book with only 24 pages, but they are very high quality, outline drawing, full of profile pictures, and detailed Photographs of the Hawker Hurricane Mk IIC. The first 5 pages are dedicated to scaled outline drawings in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales, idea for most scale modelers to use. The following three pages cover full aircraft shots in action. Then the next 11 pages are what makes this book really worth buying which is the details pictures and drawings giving some super views for model references. The last four pages cover a full color drawing of the instrument panel and aircraft profile pictures. I will be using this book for a upcoming build of a 1/72 Hurricane and it will provide all the detail references I will need. This… more |
