PlusModel was established in 1990 in the Czech Republic. Their product range is primarily made up of 1/35th scale resin kits, conversion sets, and accessories which are vacuum cast from polyurethane resin.

A new addition to their line is a set of resin FFAR Rockets for any 1/72 Hawker Hurricane kit. The rocket assembly is a two-piece assembly of individual rockets and launch rails which, when assembled, attach to the supplied mounting plate, or to the kits’ underwing mounting points if appropriate.

Chances are, if you model aircraft in any of the major scales you are well familiar with Eduard. Their product range varies from simple photo-etched enhancement frets to multi-media kits, conversion sets, and accessories which are amongst the finest in the hobby. Their products may be purchased online through www.eduard.com. I have built a few of their kits, and have used many of their accessories over the years. I am even a card-carrying member of the Bunny Fighter Club, which provided me a carrot-themed 1/48 Mig-21 and allows me a modest discount when buying direct. Mig-3 Propeller with Tool

Quickboost has produced a replacement prop for the Trumpeter and ICM 1/48 scale Mig-3 kits. The resin replacement is a simple drop-in for the kit’s plastic parts. The supplied items include a separately cast spinner, post and blades with a cast resin assembly tool for inserting the blades at a consistent pitch. There is no modification required to the kit to use this prop assembly.

A side by side evaluation (see photos) and shots of my completed Trumpeter Mig-3 “Early” indicates a replacement of superior detail that will provide a more accurate and “crisp” blade representation of a Mig-3 propeller. Fw-190A Ribs with Brace Locks

Quickbost has produced replacement parts for the Eduard 1/72 Fw-190 kits. The resin replacements are a simple drop-in for the kit’s plastic parts. The supplied items include two replacement ribs with finely detailed brace locks, which are not present on the kit parts. There is no modification required to the kit to use these details.

A side by side evaluation (see photos) indicates a replacement of superior detail that will provide a more accurate view should you have the occasion to closely inspect the underside of this exquisite kit. Note the additional detail on the locking mechanisms in the resin part over the kit’s parts.
