The IDF Eitan is presented in a rigid top opening box with glossy finish. The front picture depicts the Eitan in an urban combat environment trailed by several IDF soldiers. This 100% newly tooled kit is a brand-new 2024 release from Hobby Boss. The box contains a typical instruction manual with clear construction steps. The instructions were easy to follow, and no glaring omissions were noted. Also included is a glossy leaflet with painting and marking guidelines as well as some additional information about other Hobby Boss kits in the works.

The ICM Paint set for Ancient Warriors (ITEM 3068) is presented in a stiff glossy cardboard sleeve and contains 6 12ml paint pots. Box art depicts a Roman Centurion on the front with depictions on the rear of a Roman Centurion and a Roman Gladiator with recommendations for use of the colors provided for each.

The Kit / Paints

The provided paints are presented in small 12ml plastic pots with screw tops and each lid also clearly depicting the color and color ID which is useful for storage. In this case we are provided with Paint# 1019 (Rusty Brass), 1020 (Bronze), 1024 (Silver), 1026 (Oily Steel), 1047 (Matt Red) and 1053 (Leather Brown). The DF-41 (DongFeng 41) ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) is a brand new kit from HobbyBoss released in 2024. The Box art is typical HobbyBoss and is presented in a rigid top opener with well packed materials inside.

Lots of care and attention has been paid to protecting the contents and all items are fit snug into the box. The kit also contains some Color brochures depicting this particular kit and a brochure for the new HB kit U-2S ‘Dragon Lady’ due for release in May of 2024.

The Kit

The kit is comprised of multiple sprues, including around 11 plastic sprues, 1 clear parts, a copper tube for use in the missile elevation riser, a fret of PE, rubber tires and a decal sheet.

The Tamiya Panzerkampfwagen I (Sd.Kfz 101) is presented in Tamiya typical rigid top opener with nice artwork depicting a unit from the 4th Panzer Division, Poland, September 1939. Contents of the box are limited as this is of course a small kit.

This 100% newly tooled kit complements the existing 1/35 scale line up of German WWII vehicles in the Military Miniature Series and completes the lineup of main German tanks of WWII for Tamiya.

The box contains a normal Tamiya instruction manual with clear construction steps, 22 in all to complete this kit.

Also included is a glossy ‘background information’ leaflet which is a welcome addition and provides some history, design and deployment details of the Panzer I.

The ICM Maultiers kits are presented in a rigid and glossy box with limited details of the contents offered on the side. The artwork is pleasant and depicts the three vehicles in muddy/snowy terrain. The kit indicates that the contents are half-track cars, Wehrmacht KHD S3000/SSM and Ford V3000S/SSM in cargo and sanitary versions.

Part counts are relatively high with 313 parts for V3000S ‘Einheitsfahrerhaus’, 290 parts for V3000S with Shelter, and 219 parts for KHD S3000. Each ‘kit’ is packaged separately and separate instruction sheets and decals are also provided.
