Junkers Ju 87B Top Drawings SeriesPublished:
The book is a top drawings series from Kagero and is a Visual study of the Junkers Ju 87B Dive Bomber of the Luftwaffe in World War II. I found this book full of fascinating scale drawings and profiles of all the variants of the Ju 87B. There are 7 sheets of 1/48 scale drawings and 8 sheets of 1/72 scale drawings. There are also 10 color profiles of aircraft. These drawings are very useful for any modeler and are a great additional to any reference library. Included in the book are a set of canopy masks in both 1/72 and 1/48 scale for Ju 87B models and are a great bonus to the book. I recommend this book to everyone with any interest Ju 87B especially Modelers. Thanks go to Casemate Publishing for providing this book to review and IPMS USA for allowing… more |

This is Omega Models all resin T-41 which is the US armed forces version of the popular Cessna 172, The kit can be used to build both a US Army or US Air Force aircraft. In the box is:
The kit consists of 44 resin parts some are not required as they are from the standard Cessna 172 kit. The resin parts are extremely well molded with a little flash but great detail; the decal sheets were not too impressive and you may want to get alternative decals. Also, the vacuum formed windscreen and rear window are not too good. ConstructionThe instructions are very… more |

German Heavy Tank Sd.Kfz.182 King Tiger (Porsche Turret)Published:
This is a new version of the King Tiger following up on the release of the Henschel version last year. My first impression was wow what a very well detailed kit. I did review this kit with the addition of the Interior set SPS-062 and Zimmerit Set SPS-060 so the picture will include parts not included in this kit. You can see my reviews of these on this site also. The set is very impressive with the amount of parts and detail included. The parts that would be cast metal on the real tank are well detailed and defined. The kit contains

Sd.Kfz. 182 King Tiger (Porsche Turret) Zimmerit Decal SetPublished:
This is a Zimmerit Decal set for the Meng Model Sd.Kfz. 182 King Turret (Porsche Turret) kit TS-037. The set contains one sheet of textured decals and one instruction sheet. Zimmerit was widely used on the early King Tigers. These decals will make adding the Zimmerit a lot easier. The decals are printed onto one sheet with the patterns in relief. Individual decals are supplied for all the various areas of front, Sides and rear armor. The turret has the most decals to ensure all the areas are covered properly. The textured pattern is very nicely raised on the decals and looks very good once applied. It is highly recommended to primer coat under the contoured areas especially. There are a few things to be careful with as follows. The edges… more |

German Heavy Tank Sd.Kfz.182 King Tiger (Porsche Turret) Interior SetPublished:
The Interior kit is includes a lot of steps and refers to what parts/build steps from the main tank kit you need to do to build the whole tank correctly which is a great help and very easy to follow. There are also several parts that will not be used as they are from the other version of the King Tiger with the Henschel turret. Also a very good idea is the amount of painting instruction details given at each of the build stages. Step 1 through 6 - builds parts of the lower hull and suspension real no issues. I would suggest that the part numbers M2 and M6 (stage 3 and 4) at Stage 1 before the cross supports are installed to easy installation. I also found it would be easy to install P50 incorrectly. The part M8 was also a tight fit. The parts Q10 and Q1 need to carefully be… more |

IDF F-CK-1C/D Landing GearPublished:
This is a white metal landing gear set is to for the AFV Kit IDF F-CK-1C/D 1/48th Scale aircraft. The white metal parts are good are have better-defined details than the original kit parts. They are a very good replacement for the already well details kit parts. The advantage is these white metal parts will provide more strength than the kit parts. The parts included replacing the parts E40, E11, E42, E36, E17, E15, E44, E13, and E46. I did expect to see replacements for E 34, E 37 and E33 but these were not included and it would have added more to this set. The parts are well cast; you do need to sand off the few cast seams and metal pour points. The parts were a perfect fit to the existing mount and were easy to assemble. A couple of the metal parts were a little bent… more |

From Moscow to StalingradPublished:
The book goes into great detail German Campaign on the Eastern front 1941 to 1942. It covers Germans path from Moscow to Stalingrad which was full of successes and failures for both the Wehrmacht and the Red Army. I found this book very interesting and fascinating. It was full of such a lot of information and some fantastic photographs that I had never seen before. This whole period of World War two was full of problems created by Hitler’s obsession that he knew better that his high command. occasions. There are lot of pictures and illustrations that make the book even more interesting. I recommend this book to everyone with a deep interest the war. The only downside was it could have had a little insight into the actions it fought from an eyewitness… more |

Panther in ActionPublished:
The book is one of the Squadron Signal series “in Action”. It explores the history and development of the Panther tank and its Variants. I have always loved the Panther design and was very happy to have this book to review. The pictures of the Panther in the book are fantastic. The book has some extremely interesting and diverse photos of the iconic Panther, there are over 180 photographs included. The photos really show the classic lines and design of this wonderful symbol of the World War 2. The book made me want to build a couple of Panther models out of my stash and start building using the book for valuable reference. The last sections of the variants are an extremely interesting addition to the book. This book should be in every tank lover’s library and I… more |
