Corvette C5-R Le Mans 2003Published:
2003 marked the 50th anniversary of the Corvette. It also was the first challenge to Corvette Racing's two years of dominance in their class. Prodrive chose to enter their Ferraris in the full ALMS season as well and, although they were not strong early in the season, they managed to win the last four events of the season, including Petit Le Mans. Corvette Racing was, however, able to secure their third championship by a mere four points over the Prodrive team. The Ferraris would strike another blow, though, as they managed to end Corvette Racing's Le Mans streak, an event in which Corvette Racing celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Corvette. This kit is a nice representation of the above mentioned car. I really like this kit as a whole; it’s fun to build and it looks like… more |

P-51D Landing GearPublished:
Scale Aircraft Conversion provides an excellent landing gear conversion upgrade for the 1/32 Dragon P-51D Mustang. The conversion kit consists of 12 very nicely cast white metal main gear, doors, wheel/tire combination, hydraulic lines, and tail wheel assembly. The set also contains a very basic assembly diagram. In my opinion, this conversion would be the way to go, not only for the obvious strength issue, but also I think the wheel/tires look really nice. Also, you can… more |

P-51D/F-6D Pacific Mustang Decals Part 1Published:
Kagero’s limited edition (Red Series) 1/32 scale Pacific P-51D/F-6D Mustang decals is welcome news for large-scale Mustang fans. This is part #1 of what I assume will be a continuing series of beautiful sheets offered by them. Evidently, this sheet is sized to fit the Tamiya kit, but it’s not mentioned in the documents. The decals were printed by Cartograf and are crystal clear and look outstanding. Because of my slow progress building my own Mustang, I didn’t try to apply them. I didn’t think applying decals on bare plastic would really be very effective, although it did seem to work when I was 6. Anyway, the 8 page color documents are first rate. The artwork shows large, color profiles of both sides of the fuselage and the top and bottom of the wings. Also included is a brief history… more |
