This is another quality issue from Model Art Modeling Magazine. The text is in Japanese, with very little English. The pictures are top notch, so it does make it easy to follow along.

In the October issue, they do a series of questions and answers to what appears to be some common modeling questions. They use a series of new model releases to accomplish this. These include the 1/72nd Tamiya A6M5 Zero, 1/48th Hasegawa Ki-44 Tojo prototype, the 1/32nd Zoukei-Mura P-51D, Sankei 1/144th Alert Hanger (this appears to be in a pre-cut heavy cardstock), 1/48th Trumpeter Supermarine Spiteful, and the 1/48th Tamiya Sturmovik.

There is an article about each of the above models, and each one has a Q&A section. Topics range from different aftermarket seatbelts, how to reproduce rivets with straight pins, marking lights, panel line washes, and aerial antennas using EZ line.

Following the Q&A section, there is an article on a gentleman who appears to hand-carve models of the Yokosuka K5Y trainer aircraft. He looks as he may be a veteran from WWII, but due to the Japanese text I am unable to confirm that information. He really does a nice job at crafting these planes.

There are a few smaller articles and then it moves in to the new kit review. This month they review the Tamiya 1/35th “Elefant” (set in a stunning diorama), and included in this is brief section about Tamiyas 50th Anniversary; the Pit-Road 1/35th JGSDF Type 99 SPH; the Fujimi 1/700th IJN Battleship Fuso; the Fujimi 1/20th Sauber C30 Japan GP; a 1/24th Tamiya Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86’12; a Hasegawa 1/200th Boeing 787-8 JAL; and a Hasegawa All Nippon Airways in 1/200 and the 1/48th space probe Voyager.

The rest of the issue is made up of the Neo Historic Garage, which features an old model car kit. This month’s feature is a Nissan 1989180SX by Tamiya in 1/24th scale. Following this article, there several pages of new releases that will be coming out in the near future and advertisements.
