LAU-10/A Zuni Rocket Launcher Set
As usual, I am eternally grateful to Eduard for providing yet another cool review item, and to the IPMS USA reviewer corps leaders for sending it to me.
This small set continues Eduard’s effort to provide modelers with previously unavailable, well detailed resin sets. Consisting of 14 parts, you are presented with two resin pods, three sets of end caps (one for the front of the pod, and options for either a loaded or transport/storage pod cap)
Eight warheads are provided, and these appear to be the standard High-explosive variety. No double-ogive versions in this case. Decals round out the presentation, including yellow stripes for the warheads and stenciling for the pods.
Cool details: The open end caps with the four- folding-fins represented in each tube, or the option of using miniscule photo-etch covers for insertion into the second set of end caps. I did not paint these so they would show up in the picture; I also did not use the storage caps, intending instead to use these on either “yet another A-1E” or the 1/48 Hawk and Paragon OV-10A sets sitting in the stash which will eventually be built (or will Kittyhawk pantograph their excellent 1/32 kit down? We’ll see if they show up…). In the interim, they shall languish in the ready box
All in all, a great effort… Eduard’s Brassin range is ever-expanding, and with this being a complete model in a blister pack, with parts, PE and decals, I give them10 of 10 for subject and performance, well done Eduard! I
