Plusmodel is located in the Czech Republic and when you visit the company website you are given the option of an English language version. The links above go to that option.

To get some idea as to what products are offered by plusmodel, select the Catalogue option on the home page. The Catalogue lists hundreds of items that can be used as stand-alone models or items, such as the Ladder being reviewed, to enhance a model. My modeling experience with plusmodel products includes only a dozen or so of the aftermarket-type items, and I have been pleased with each of those items.

The F-101 Ladder, in 48th scale, is packaged in a sturdy cardstock box measuring 5 inches by 3.5 inches. The box top shows an F-101, with the canopy open, and with two ladders in place, awaiting the flight crew. The backside of the box serves as the “instruction sheet”. The illustration shows that two ladders are included, with two “metal” plates that attach to each ladder. The top plate “hooks” into the frame of cockpit and holds the ladder in place while the second plate is on the sixth rung of the ladder and serves to keep the ladder steady and in place while the flight crew ascends and enters the cockpit.

There are six parts contained in the package, two ladders, and then two of the upper plates, and two of the mid-plates. It is suggested that you assemble the ladders prior to painting. The parts will need a bit of sanding to remove the nibs where the parts are attached to the part trees. Total time consuming by sanding and assembly was under 3 minutes. It took longer to load and clean my airbrush than it did to assemble and spray paint on the ladders.

The end result is that you will have two ladders to hang onto your Voodoo, which are authentic, accurate, and easy to assemble.

This product is highly recommended for its sturdy packaging, which includes a color image of an F-101 with ladders attached, and a clear “how to assemble” illustration on the back of the box. The ladders are scaled properly, and the parts are crisp and free of flash. Thanks to Plusmodel for the opportunity to review this product.
