Unboxing

Everything in this kit is nicely detailed. The sprues themselves are very clean, with minimal flash to clean. Sprues are molded in black, white and metallic, but thankfully not plated chrome. I am especially impressed with the instruction manual. No more guessing what is in the diagram. These pictures are crystal clear, and just as detailed as the pieces themselves. I am also very pleasantly surprised to see something I have never seen in other kits. On the back cover of the instructions, there are some templates to cut maskings for difficult areas, like the fenders.

Assembly

he assembly instructions are easy to follow and they take a logical path towards completion of the kit. For the most part, except where notated below, the parts fit very well and are assembled easily. I especially like the assembly of the seat belts. It is a challenging task but very rewarding on completion and looks fantastic.

Issues

Part 3A, white reservoir in corner of engine closest to driver does not fit the spot it is supposed to go. I modified it by trimming the lower area of the part down to fit.

A few of the parts are numbered differently between the sprue and instructions (specifically seatbelt buckles) but very easily identified from the diagram, so was not a problem at all.

Conclusion

I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this and would highly recommend it to other modelers. Everything about this kit was a pleasure. I love the detail, both on the parts and in the instructions. This is my very first model from the Italeri brand. Based on my experiences with this kit, I look forward to doing more Italeri kits in the future!
