Air Wing All-Stars Tomcats Pt II
A brief history on the F-14. The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is a fourth-generation, supersonic, twinjet, two-seat, wing fighter. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program following the collapse of the F-111B project. The F-14 was the first of the American teen-series fighters, which were designed incorporating the experience of air combat against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War. The F-14 was retired from the United States Navy on September 22, 2006.
Furball Aero-Designs Tomcats sheet is for the Hasegawa 1/48 F-14 A/B’s Tomcats. This sheet has 11 different aircraft. The Decals included cover late Cold war and early Gulf war era aircraft. Inside the large Ziploc style bag, there are 2 black, white and grey sheets with profiles for 11 aircraft and includes respective FS colors and decal placement. The included 7 full size color printed instruction sheets cover all wing markings and stencil data; page 7 will cover arrestor hook and ejection seat stenciling. The decals are printed by Cartograf which guarantee a high quality and accurate depiction of marked aircraft.
