Ammo’s line of Moss products is intended to help modelers simulate natural textures such as moss and lichen on their miniatures. The Moss products are a very finely shredded material that can be glued to surfaces to add the color and texture of tiny plants. Moss is available in ten colors that include a variety of greens and browns. The Moss comes in 35ml plastic jars. For this review I tried Ochre Moss, Bracken Green, and Sea Moss.

This last part is divided into Abbreviations used, 10 Appendices and the Bibliography.
Background
Aires began in 1995, making 2020 their 25th anniversary. They are based out of the Czech Republic and include not only the Aires brand name, but QuickBoost, Aerobonus, and Wheelliant.
Cozmic Scale Models from the UK specializes in SciFi Model kits and accessories. They have multiple figures, details and parts for everything from bases to crews to some full kits. This review is a 1/32 Battlestar Galactica series, the re-imagined version from 2004. These come in multiple poses and this one is standing holding his helmet in one hand.
The kit itself is a single piece with decals and is very clean. To prep it for paint, a few small scrapings were done and a little cleaning around the helmet and then I shot it with Tamiya primer. Painting was done with acrylics and decals added. A final flat coat and done and it was ready for display or addition to a diorama.
Highly recommended. Very well produced and they can be scaled to the modelers size.
My thanks to Cozmic Models and IPMS/USA for the chance to review this great figure.
ICM has released kit based on a character from the TV series the Squid Games – this is one of ‘Square’ guards from the show.
In the box is:
- 3 x light grey sprues
- 1 x stand base
- 1 x black sprue for stand
- 1 x small black sprue with the mask
- small decal sheet
- 1 x instruction sheets
- 1 x box art print
Construction
The construction of the figure is very easy, and they assemble very well. You do need to do a little filling here and there during the assembly.
The base is a nice touch and has optional ground finishes to choose from.
Painting was easy, although I did not use all the reference colors as shown on in the instructions. I did use all Tamiya paints on the figure. There was just one decal for the mask.
I really enjoyed building this kit and loved the TV series it is based on.
For some reason, model manufacturers have been omitting pilot figures from their kits. Many after market producers have stepped in to fill the pilot seat void. Czech model manufacturer Aerobonus has a new release in its 1/72 Modern German Luftwaffe/ Marine Fighter Pilot. Like most pilot figures being released recently, this figure is standing, but can easily be made to sit with some razor saw surgery.
Summer days bring swimming, camping, and barbecuing at home. Hauler has come out with a miniaturized BBQ Grill that would be perfect for a diorama in scale.
Consisting of 19 pieces, this kit builds up into a nice little grill. Counting the airbrush painting, it took me about 8 hours total to fold the pieces, and glue them together. I used superglue to assemble all the parts. One note – there is a handle that you add to one side of the grill. I used .020 diameter styrene rod as called for in the instructions.
Painting was accomplished using an airbrush, with flat black as the color. I did not weather my sample, but a bit of weathering would make this grill really come alive.
Overall, despite it being a relatively simple kit, this photo etched grill builds up into an excellent representation of a modern charcoal grill.
Thanks to Hauler Brengun for providing the review sample.

AMMO's Terraform Premium Textures series includes a number of different shades of texturing material for your next project. Or if you are just in the mood for a new landscaping adventure. The subject for today's missive is their Thin Concrete.
This product comes in a 100ml tub and as is the case with all of AMMO's texturing products, is water soluble. A fact that came in handy as my sample was a tad dry. I added a little distilled water which returned the texturing material to a more malleable state. These products can also be mixed with any acrylic based paint or other textures. It should be noted that the dried material does make convincing street or building rubble.
I was very pleased when I heard the news that Casemate was going to be carrying Mike Rinaldi's excellent books. This Single Model series differs from the original books in size and instead of covering a handful of different projects to highlight his techniques, they focus on obviously a single model- in this case a Bandai Sazabi Custom kit. Anyone who has ever watched a Mike Rinaldi seminar in person or on You Tube knows you are getting educated when you take the time to listen and absorb what he is teaching.
